The last five 100-word drabbles for the meme thing.

Clans for

wasurenaikara

As a rule, the clans of Konoha do not get along. They're far too busy backstabbing each other and clawing their way to the top to worry about things like 'morale' and the ilk.

There's also the fact that many of the clans look down on each other. For example, the Akimichi clan is often viewed as nothing more than a family of fat asses.

The Inuzuka clan is also viewed with the same distain, especially by the Hyuuga clan. The dog-clan is savage and unrefined, dirty.

But they're also, Hiashi decides, as Hana begins kissing him back, very enticing.

Hero-Worship for

Hayate's hero-worship isn't because of the fact that Ibiki is amazingly tall (which he is) or bear-like (which, again, he is). It's not even because Ibiki's kind to Hayate (which is rare) or because Ibiki's patient (even more rare).

Hayate hero-worships Ibiki 'cause Ibiki's constant. Ibiki hasn't left Hayate yet, and Hayate worships Ibiki in the strange, almost childish belief that if he does, then Ibiki won't leave. Ever.

So when Ibiki's carried home in a tarp, and Hayate hears words like 'torture' and 'pins' and 'skull,' he's not scared. He just waits in the hallway, and believes.

Eternity's End for

Even eternity has an end.

It goes something like this:

They're feeding the ducks broken pieces of bread. Aziraphale's very careful to tear each piece to small bite-sizes, while Crowley's tearing the slices of bread carelessly, throwin them with abandon.

Aziraphale says something thoughtful, Crowley says something snarky, and the ducks are diving for the pieces of bread, heads turned down, bottoms turned up.

Aziraphale laughs, his eyes crinkling, and Crowley leans forward on his feet. Lips brush Aziraphale's cheek, and a duck is flapping its wings distractedly.

Aziraphale closes his eyes; Crowley closes his eyes, too. That's the end.

Even eternity ends.

Brotherly Love for

Al thinks this is far from right. Ed is anything but kind, lenient, or giving.

Instead, Ed is self-absorbed and strict and a little crazy, to boot. Ed laughs when other people fall down, sometimes, and he cries when he doesn't get his way.

But Ed's self-sacrificing, too. Ed doesn't hesitate, not ever, if it comes down to Al. He cut off his arm, and Al's sure that, if it'd help, Ed would cut out his heart, too.

So maybe it's Ed's own special brand of brotherly love.

Cookies for

"Cookies," Chouza said cheerfully, holding up a brown paper bag as an offering. Shikaku raised an eyebrow and Inoichi grinned.

"We didn't think you were gonna make it," Inoichi said, plucking the bag out of Chouza's hands. "Thought you were gonna get stuck baby-sitting."

Chouza's smile faded a bit as he sat slowly. "I was baby-sitting. Chou helped me make the cookies."

"No shit?" Shikaku drawled, and he took the cookie Inoichi held out. "You okay?"

Chouza shrugged. "Just tired. Getting old, ya'know?"

Shikaku nodded. But really, it wasn't so bad, growing old with friends like these.

And that's the last of them. :) I feel vaguely proud. Anyways... Hopefully a ficlet tomorrow.
