I'm back! Sorta. For a moment, to type in some stuff I wrote, and then I'm gone again.

When night fell on the camp, it fell fast. The camp fell as well, into an uneasy quiet. Ninja moved about in small groups, speaking in infrequent, breathy whispers, twitching hands never straying far from kunai or shuriken. It was a pale beyond tense, pulling agitation to the point of snapping. Ibiki was standing near the edge of the camp, shoulders pulled tight togeether beneath the heavy dark.

"I went swimming with Anko once, when it was dark." 'Before the war' was silently tacked on, and a shadow next to Ibiki moved.

"She's still not back?" Kakashi moved again, the metal on his gloves glinting against the sliver of a moon.

"Not tonight. She won't move on a night like this. Dark makes her uncomfortable."

Kakashi looked up at Ibiki before he turned away, pulling at his mask almost uncomfortably. "Maybe she'll come in the morning."

!-!-!

Anko covered her mouth with a hand, trying to quiet her breathing. Her heart sounded too loud, the blood pulsing in her head too wildly. She was sprawled over a tree limb, arms and legs pulled up into uncomfortable angles, to stay in the shadows. If she looked around her, pairs of eyes stared back at her from other trees, but there were fewer eyes than there should've been. Her team had been caught, nearly destroyed, and more than half were scattered over the last two miles, dead.

There was a movement to her right and she turned her head, pressing her cheek against the rough bark. Tsuzumi was staring back at her, mouth open, and he was slipping from a tree branch, limp. He fell, head snapping to an unnatural angle when he hit a lower branch, and then another, and another. Anko scrambled to her feet as he fell, pushing chakra to her feet to leap to another tree, and when she ran, the rest of her team followed.

!-!-!

"You think she will?" Ibiki asked, sinking to the ground. His shoulders loosened, slumped, and Kakashi nodded somewhere to his right.

"Anko's not stupid, she'll be fine."

!-!-!

Anko threw out her right hand, grabbing a tree branch and using her weight to flip her around. Shadows darted past her and she counted them, her hands digging against the branch. (Kotetsu, Izumo, Hana. Oh, god, oh god, where's Shimon?' her mind shrieked.) She waited a moment, and when no shadow came darting past, she turned, and kept on running.

Hmm... I don't know. I kinda like it, I kinda don't. And...this is pathetic, I know it is... I went through all the character biographies on leafninja.com, and I wrote down all the chuunin and their ages, and I'm using it as a system for who I'll kill, and when. Because I needed names, and then, out of all of them, I picked the prettiest. *sigh* Shimon was just too pretty. All longish hair and pretty eyes. *cackle*

My back snapped in the weirdest way today. It hurt, and I could feel that it was kinda out of place (due to previous back injuries), and then it snapped back into where it was supposed to be, but I blacked out, and woke up about half an hour later, on the floor. Was interesting, very interesting.

And choir tonight! Yay!

Edit: *shriek* My back up discs no longer work! As in, everything I've written, is now gone! As in, this is the second time I've lost everything in just three months. Three!

So, [livejournal.com profile] dragon_bite, sorry, but I can't show you my horror that I found. It's now gone. *dies*

Low blood pressure can lead to fainting spells. I get to deal with it on occasion since my blood pressure is typically along the lines of 110 over 60 which I'm told is surprisingly low. Basically what happens is you stand up too quickly and not enough blood gets to your brain so you keel over or have to sit very quickly.
I have to get up slowly if I've been in a deep sleep or I won't make it anywhere. I also have to watch it if I've been laying down for a while or sitting still for a long stretch. It isn't something ever really think about, its just there. Worst I've ever had documented was when I was hospitalized while pregnant with Alex and one of the nurses doing the early morning round found my blood pressure to be 80 over 40. They made a point of waking me up after that. *shrug*
