Today's a slightly stormy day. Sprinkles here, gray and grey clouds there, and wind. So, I ate a bunch of chili (sorry,
nezumiko) with my dad, and my tummy's nice and warm. I like chilly.
Question on words. Grey and gray. How do you see/use them? In my mind (since I'm random and insane (in a good way!)), grey is the darker of the two, the color that's close to black, while gray is the lighter one, closer to white. See? So my cat's 'grey,' but my computer is 'gray.' Two different words. Well, that's just me.
Oh, a random, tiny, amazingly short drabble thing. Because it called.
"Ow! Son of a-"
"What happened to you?"
Iruka looked over at Kakashi, adopting a most mournful, pitiful expression. He held up his arm and Kakashi leaned across the kitchen's island.
"You burned yourself? How the crap did you do that? I mean, you're a ninja."
"Whoops?" Iruka hazarded, and Kakashi moved around the island, grabbing Iruka's arm and pulling the teacher towards the sink.
"Whoops? You're so clumsy in the kitchen. Remember when you nearly chopped off your finger? I shouldn't let you cook anymore." Kakashi turned on the water, holding Iruka's arm under the faucet. Iruka winced away when the water hit his arm and Kakashi tightened his grip on him. "Just let the water stop the burning. What were you doing?"
"I was just taking something out of the oven." Iruka was staring at his arm, at red mark.
"Taking what?"
Iruka nearly blushed, biting his lower lip as his face began to burn. "Umm, something."
"What?" Kakashi was torn between being amused and annoyed. When Iruka did begin to blush, in earnest, he settled with amused.
Iruka mumbled something under his breath, suddenly very interested in his arm, and Kakashi bumped him on the shoulder lightly.
"What?" he asked again.
"It's your birthday, so I was making you a cake," Iruka stated, embarrassed, adding a half-hearted 'jerk,' as an afterthought. Kakashi laughed, tugging on Iruka's arm so the chuunin stumbled, falling against the older man.
"Idiot," Kakashi laughed, leaning down to plant a mask-covered kiss on Iruka's mouth. "What a cute idiot."
"I'm not cute, you bastard," Iruka snapped, and when Kakashi laughed more, he leaned against the jounin harder.
Ugh... Fluff? It's certainly not my area of expertise. Was that spelled right?
