Personally , I've never lost anyone to death , but I've lost people . ( i.e. left them behind , or I was left behind , etc ) . So , I can't really say that " I know how you feel " or anything in this case .
But , from what you've said ... perhaps why your cousin's death affected you so was because you were so young , and because of the flowers ? I mean , perhaps , because the flowers were so beautiful and the flowers were arranged so perfectly around her , that your mind remembers that funeral ? ( I'm not saying that you didn't care for your cousin . O__o;; Just giving a theory as to why you remember it so perfectly . )
